The Superintendents Environment & Safety Excellence Award recognises the outstanding contributions and achievements in environment and safety management by an individual Golf Course Superintendent.
Eligibility
Any Golf Course Superintendent whom has displayed outstanding achievements in the criteria listed is eligible for the Superintendents Environment and Safety Excellence Award.
Criteria
The following criteria should be considered and evidence provided when nominating an individual for the Superintendents Environment and Safety Excellence Award:
- What critical skills has the course superintendent shown within in the areas of environment and safety management?
- What environmental or safety initiatives have been implemented over the past year?
- How does the Course Superintendent promote environment and safety compliance to staff?
All evidence should relate to the activity and achievements for the period of 1st August 2025 to 30th June 2026.
Nomination Process
Golf Course Turf Apprentices may be nominated for this award via the General Manager, Board or Committee members at their respective golf club and all nominations shall be made through the online nomination form.
Nominations will close at 5pm on 1st August, 2026.
Selection
Nominations for Superintendents Environment & Safety Excellence Award will be assessed in relation to the above criteria by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Queensland and results announced at the 2026 Queensland Golf Industry Awards Dinner, to be held at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Thursday 8th October, 2026.
