The Queensland Golf Club Staff Member of the Year Award is designed to recognise the effort, dedication and contribution to a golf club/facility by a paid member of staff.
Eligibility
Any current member of staff of a Golf Club or public facility located in Queensland or in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, who has been employed for a period of in excess of 12 months at the time of nomination, is eligible for the Queensland Golf Staff Member of the Year award.
Criteria
The following criteria should be considered and evidence provided when nominating an individual for the Queensland Golf Staff Member of the Year award:
- Nature of contribution to a Golf Club/facility
- Magnitude of dedication shown to a Golf Club/facility
- Efficiencies identified/created within the Golf Club/facility
- Initiatives implemented within a Golf Club/facility
All evidence should relate to the activity and achievements for the period of 1st August 2025 to 30th June 2026.
Please attach any supporting documentation along with a photo of the Staff Member when submitting the nomination.
Nomination Process
Golf Staff Members may be nominated for this award via club representatives, staff, management, PGA Club and Teaching Professionals or any other person who has detailed knowledge of the Golf Club Staff member’s achievements.
All nominations shall be made through the online nomination form and must be accompanied by a supporting letter from the Golf Club/facility (Management or Board Member, Director etc).
Nominations will close at 5pm on 1st August, 2026.
Selection
Nominations for QLD Golf Club Staff Member of the Year Award presented by Avenue Press will be assessed in relation to the above criteria by the GMA selection panel and results announced at the 2026 Queensland Golf Industry Awards Dinner, to be held at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Thursday 8th October, 2026.
