  • The purpose of this award is to recognise the most outstanding Get Into Golf Venue based on quality of the program, participant experience and community impact.  

    Eligibility:

    To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must:

    • Be located in Queensland.
    • Be officially registered as a Get Into Golf Centre with Golf Australia during the eligible period.
    • Conduct registered Get into Golf Programs delivered by a PGA Professional, PGA Associate or National Program Deliverer
    • Follow the Get Into Golf structure and delivery standards.
    • Have delivered at least one full program (minimum four sessions) during the award period.
    • Have run at least one full term of sessions within the 12-month award period.
    • Nominees must have a minimum of 20 registered participants over the financial year, enrolled online via the Golf Australia portal. Preference will be given to those who meet or exceed this threshold and demonstrate growth, retention or reach into new communities as well as engagement with priority or underrepresented groups (e.g. women, seniors, all abilities, multicultural communities)
    • Provide a welcoming, inclusive, and high-quality experience for all participants.
    • The deliverer and host venue must comply with Golf Australia’s policies, including Working With Children requirements and codes of conduct.
    • The program must not be under any investigation or subject to any complaints that would bring the award or sport into disrepute.

    Criteria:

    The recipient of this award will be selected based on achieving one or more of the following criteria:

    • Demonstrated success in increasing adult participation in golf, particularly among new or returning players.
    • Delivered an engaging, structured, and beginner-friendly program that encourages long-term involvement in golf.
    • Created a welcoming, supportive, and accessible environment that enhances the experience of participants, regardless of age, background, or ability.
    • Successfully transitioned participants from the program into ongoing golf participation, whether through club membership, social play, or other golf opportunities.
    • Engagement and alignment with the strategy for Australian Golf 2022– 2025.

    All evidence should relate to the activity and achievements for the period of 1st August 2025 to 30th June 2026.

    Nomination Process:
    Golf Clubs may be nominated for this award via club representatives, staff, management, PGA Club and Teaching Professionals or any other person who has detailed knowledge of a respective facility’s success. All nominations shall be made through the online nomination form and must be accompanied by a supporting letter from the facility (Management or Director).

    Nominations will close at 5pm on 1st August, 2026.

    Selection:
    Nominations for the the Get into Golf Venue of the Year award will be assessed in relation to the above criteria by a Golf Australia selection panel and results announced at the 2026 Queensland Golf Industry Awards Dinner, to be held at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Thursday 8th October, 2026.

    The winner will also advance to be the Queensland representative for this award in Golf Australia's 2026 National Awards of Excellence.
